Death on a Stage is Just a Made Up Lie

Choreographer

Death on a Stage is Just a Made Up Lie investigates 'Tarantism' - dancing mania- that was said to be the cause of insanity or death. In modern times it is apparent that it was never more, or less, than mass hysteria - one of the striking aberrations of the human mind to collectively loose control of reason in fear of something that is not real.

The piece questions how the 'performativity of self' factors into what we perceive - or suspend our own belief to perceive - as real. Outside and within the theatrical constructs of the stage.
